Developing Talent

At Campus Recreation & Intramurals, the training and development of our Graduate Assistants is our number one goal.

Our graduate assistant development program is centered around providing graduate students with a developmental learning environment that is collaborative and experiential. Through applied learning, managed challenges, assigned task, professional development and personal growth, we provide exemplary learning experiences that serve as a solid foundation for obtaining their career aspirations. Our success rate in placing our graduate assistants in relevant full-time positions is 100%.

Adam Sardinha: Marketing and Communications Specialist at NC State University Recreation
Matt McBride: Race Director at Pink Gorilla Events LLC, a running events company co-founded by Jason Bakewell (CRI graduate assistant 2004-2006)
Eddie Simmons: was a GA at Southern 1991-1993. Currently Associate Director of University Recreation at Appalachian State University
