The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management supports the University’s strategic plan by promoting and contributing to a university community centered on student learning and success. The Division is responsible for the out-of-class welfare of the students and provides a richly diverse array of educational experiences to supplement classroom learning. Programs and activities are designed to contribute to the intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social development of the student. Students are encouraged to be active participants and to be involved in order to stimulate school spirit, strengthen campus life, and enhance the overall quality of their collegiate experience.
Also inherent to the Division’s mission is leadership for enrollment management, a process designed to educate students and parents in their choice of a college or university, to facilitate the transition of students to college or from one college to another, to reduce student attrition and improve retention, and to enhance student outcomes. Successful enrollment management requires collaboration and cooperation among Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing and Communications, the Registrar, the Business Office, Academic Advisement, University Housing, and faculty. It is a team approach that begins with prospective students, continues throughout the college experience, and extends as students become successful alumni.
