CPR: aThese reports use the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Enrollment Cohort of First-time Freshmen defined as fall term, first-time, full-time, degree-seeking undergraduates. The cohort includes students enrolled in the fall term who attended first time in the prior summer term, and students who entered with advanced standing (college credits earned before graduation from high school). Students who graduated from high school within the same calendar year of the fall term are included even if they attended college before. Learning Support students have a remedial requirement (at matriculation) in either Reading, Math, or English, or are voluntarily taking Learning Support Classes. Other Race includes Asian, Hispanic, American Indian/Native, or Multiracial ethnicities. GPA (not included in Graduation Rates Reports) reflects average cumulative Grade Point Average as of official SIRS (Student Reporting Information System) enrollment. Enrollment is counted until first undergraduate level degree is granted by Georgia Southern University. Graduation from another USG (University System of Georgia) institution is not considered in these reports.
The data in these reports are based on official information extracted from the Banner Student Information System as of the University System of Georgia census dates. The Cohorts are from the Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Fall Enrollment Reports. Fiscal Year (FY) is defined throughout this web site as summer semester through spring semester
Annual Report: The Annual Report data were created to assist Colleges in certain sections of their annual reports to the Provost’s Office. The data available from the Office of Strategic Research and Analysis are based on a template provided by the Provost’s Office. Included in the Annual Report data are the following:
- Enrollment – Fall Semesters 2011, 2012, and 2013
- First-year retention rates of Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) First-time Freshmen (2010, 2011, and 2012 year cohorts)
- Six-year graduation rates of IPEDS First-time Freshmen (2005, 2006, and 2007 year cohorts)
- Degrees awarded – Fiscal Years 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2013-14.
- Course completions rates for Fall 2012 and Fall 2013
