Potential Scam Alert & Resources

Be aware that a new scam targeting F-1 students has been brought to our attention. In this scam email, the writers state they are from USCIS and are issuing a warrant for the student failing to update their AR-11 Alien’s Change of Address Card.

Reminders

  1. USCIS does not email students directly; they always send written letters. The same is true of other government agencies such as the IRS.
  2. The government will NEVER call you and demand money. If there is an issue with your visa status, you will hear it from our office.
  3. Never give your SSN, account info, or anything personal over the phone.
  4. Never click on any links in a suspicious email.
