Potential Scam Alert & Resources
Be aware that a new scam targeting F-1 students has been brought to our attention. In this scam email, the writers state they are from USCIS and are issuing a warrant for the student failing to update their AR-11 Alien’s Change of Address Card.
Reminders
- USCIS does not email students directly; they always send written letters. The same is true of other government agencies such as the IRS.
- The government will NEVER call you and demand money. If there is an issue with your visa status, you will hear it from our office.
- Never give your SSN, account info, or anything personal over the phone.
- Never click on any links in a suspicious email.
