Intercultural Mentor Program

What is it?

ISAP’s new peer mentoring program provides opportunities for students from different countries to organically connect and learn from each other. It works around your schedule: mentors check in on their mentees and meet up and a few times during the semester.

MENTORS: American, Domestic, and International Students

Mentors:
  • Continuing and new American students, non-American domestic students, and international students are invited to become mentors.
  • Mentors offer support and guidance in areas such as college life, personal goals, and cultural exploration & identity.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete ISAP training.
  • During the semester, offer support and your knowledge of campus resources. We recommend connecting multiple times per semester for each participant to gain the most benefits of the program.
  • Complete the program’s feedback forms: one mid-semester and one at the end of the semester.
Requirements:
  • Mentors should take at least one in-person class on the Statesboro campus during the semester.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

MENTEES: International Students

Mentees:
  • New and continuing international students are invited to become mentees.
  • Students who self-identify as international are eligible to become mentees
