Arrival

Please plan to arrive on your campus by the following dates at the latest:

• Undergraduate Students: August 7, 2024 (move-in to university housing is allowed starting August 6, 2024)
• Graduate Students: August 9, 2024

These dates will allow you time to settle in prior to beginning orientation.

Orientation dates:
Undergraduate Statesboro: August 8-9, 2024
Graduate students Statesboro: To be determined

The first day of classes for the Fall 2024 semester is Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Flying

The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is the closest airport to Georgia Southern University.  This airport is about 45 minutes from the Statesboro campus and 25 minutes from the Armstrong Campus.  The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport should be your final flight destination, since transportation from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is costly, lengthy, and limited.

Arriving to Campus

Students arriving on their own are encouraged to arrive on campus during business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday). Depending on when your flight arrives, you may need to spend the night at an airport hotel.  A list of Savannah/Hilton Head Airport hotels can be found here.

Driving

Statesboro

The address for the Rosenwald Building, home of the ISAP Office, is 2142 Southern Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458. You can program this address into your map service or GPS. Please note the ISAP Office is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Our office can provide local maps and direct you to locations on campus and in Statesboro.

Armstrong

If you or your family will need to stay in a local hotel in Statesboro, visit here.  We highly recommend making hotel reservations in advance of your arrival.
