The Post-9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33 helps Veterans or Family to pay for some, or all, of the cost of school or training. Using the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the VA will pay the tuition directly to the school, and send the student a monthly housing stipend based on location, along with $500 per semester (Spring and Fall) to aid in book fees. The student does not make any payments directly to the school with the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. For more information, including criteria for use, see the VA’s Post-9/11 GI Bill® website.

Montgomery GI Bill® / Chapter 30

Under the Montgomery GI Bill®, the VA will pay the student directly, and the student must pay the school fees. Monthly payment depends on the eligibility of the student which can be found, along with eligibility criteria, on the VA’s Montgomery GI Bill® / Chapter 30 website.
