The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management engages in partnerships to provide students with an exciting out of class experience and environment in which to practice and test what is learned inside the classroom. Our efforts have positioned us to be critically engaged in all aspects of students’ lives and collaborate with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents to support student success and satisfaction.
We will collaborate both internally and externally to enhance the lives of our students, and partner with many organizations in the community. We will work to enhance the educational transition for students through relationships with high school and 2-year institutions. We will partner with the Statesboro community to create an environment conducive to living and learning for students and community members. We will create intentional opportunities for students to engage and contribute to the surrounding communities through service and civic engagement.
We will contribute to Georgia Southern’s rich learning environment and create intentional collaborations with our colleagues in Academic Affairs through support services like those offered through the Academic Success Center and service-learning support and through programs like internships. We will partner with students through their active engagement in our policy development and execution. Student representation on key division committees and decisions allows a formalized way to collaborate with students. We can see the benefit of our collaborative efforts and expect departments to seek new opportunities to partner with others to achieve their missions and serve students.
